XC Competes in Big 12 Championship

ROUND ROCK, Texas – The TCU men's and women's cross country teams competed in the Big 12 Cross Country Championship on Saturday morning. The men's team finished ninth in the 8000m race and the women finished tenth in the 6000m.
Brenley Goertzen was the highest finisher on the day for the Horned Frogs, finishing 24th with a mark of 21:04.0. Nicole Hicks crossed the finish line next, finishing 48th with a mark of 21:50.0. Freshman Evelyn Mandel was not far behind, finishing 53rd with a mark of 21.59.7.
"It just wasn't a good day for us," head cross country coach Jennifer Fazioli said. "But, we will regroup and focus on Regionals."
The Horned Frogs will return to action at NCAA Regionals in College Station, Texas, scheduled for Nov. 10.
