Summer Update: Madison Tedford

FORT WORTH, Texas – Every member of the TCU women's tennis team has returned home for the summer and has been hard a work preparing for the upcoming season and enjoying time with friends and family. Each week, we will take a look at what a different member of the team has been up to and next up is incoming freshman Madison Tedford.
A local DFW product, Tedford has been busy this summer hanging out with friends, playing tennis and getting acquainted with all of her TCU teammates that have been in and out of Fort Worth the past few months. The Highland Park graduate was able to play in four tournaments this summer and made the finals of doubles at the Abilene ITA Summer Circuit event. Tedford also celebrated her birthday and spent time with future teammates Marie Norris and Olaya Garrido-Rivas on the lake.
TCU returns all but one letterwinner from the 2016 season that saw the Horned Frogs finish in a tie for second in the Big 12 Conference and advance to the second round of the NCAA Championship for the second straight season. Tedford won three UIL Team Championships during her four years at Highland Park High School and was a four-star recruit according to TennisRecruiting.net.
