FORT WORTH, Texas – Every member of the TCU women's tennis team has returned home for the summer and has been hard a work preparing for the upcoming season and enjoying time with friends and family. Each week, we will take a look at what a different member of the team has been up to and next up is junior Alexis Pereira.
After returning home to San Gabriel, Calif., to spend time with family and friends, Pereira just wrapped up six weeks of being a coach at the UCLA Summer Camp. While at the camp, Pereira was training hard daily with current and former collegiate players to get ready for her third season in Fort Worth. Besides hanging with her family and friends, Pereira has also enjoyed spending the summer with her dogs Bella and Brody.
TCU returns all but one letterwinner from the 2016 season that saw the Horned Frogs finish in a tie for second in the Big 12 Conference and advance to the second round of the NCAA Championship for the second straight season. Pereira put together 18 wins in singles action and 15 wins in doubles action during her sophomore season at TCU and notched one win over a ranked opponent.
