FORT WORTH, Texas – The TCU women's tennis team wrapped-up competition at the ITA Texas Regional Championships Presented by Oracle this past weekend at the Hurd Tennis Center in Waco, Texas with players making it to the quarterfinals and semi-finals in the singles and singles consolation brackets, respectively.
Marie Norris was able to upend one ranked opponent on her way to an appearance in the quarterfinals of the singles main draw with straight-set wins over four opponents in the tournament. After a first round loss, Sofiko Kadzhaya rebounded by taking victories in four straight matches to advance to the semifinals in the singles consolation bracket.
In doubles action, the No. 18 pair of Seda Aranetkin and Caroline Wegner made it the farthest with an appearance in the Round of 16.
