TCU Heads to Albuquerque for Tucker Intercollegiate

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The Horned Frogs return to action this week for their second tournament of the fall season, traveling to Albuquerque for the annual William H. Tucker Intercollegiate. The tournament is set for Friday, Sept. 25 and Saturday Sept. 26 at the UNM South Championship Golf Course.
TCU will send the lineup of Pierre Mazier, Sarosh Adi, Paul Barjon, Chelso Barrett and Triston Fisher into play this weekend. Adi, Barjon, Barrett and Mazier are all making their second tournament appearance of the year for TCU while Fisher is making his collegiate debut.
Barjon and Barrett were part of the team that helped TCU secure at top-10 finish at the NCAA Championships in the spring as the program made its 26th consecutive NCAA regionals appearance.
The 16-team field is set to tee off at 8:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, with the tournament's format being 54 holes to completion with 36 being played on Friday. The 2015 event marks the 48th year the tournament has been hosted at the UNM South Championship Golf Course.
The 2015 field also includes Arizona, Bowling Green, Colorado, Colorado State, Denver, Louisiana Tech, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Nevada, UTEP, Texas Tech, UNLV, San Diego, San Diego State and Wyoming.
Last season, TCU finished 4th in a field of 14 at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate. The Frogs closed out the three-day event with a team score of 286 to finish +16 for the tournament. Barjon led the team in Albuquerque last year, finishing two-under par and tied for fifth place overall.
TCU opened the season earlier this month at the Carmel Cup at Pebble Beach Golf Links in California. Barjon posted a top 10 finish. Barjon finished one-over-par for the tournament after posting a final round 75, shooting 217 for the event (71-71-75). It was the seventh career top 10 finish in a collegiate event for Barjon and first since the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate in February.
TCU finished the tournament in sixth place among eight highly ranked teams, posting a 26-over par 1106 (377-362-367) for the three-day event and finished just seven strokes outside the top five.
