Oracle/ITA Preseason Rankings Released

FORT WORTH, Texas – With the start of the fall season right around the corner, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced its 2015 Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Preseason Rankings on Monday afternoon, with TCU boasting two ranked male singles players and one ranked doubles team in both the men's and women's tennis programs.
Coming off an appearance in the NCAA Final Four, the TCU men's tennis team has two ranked singles players in All-American Cameron Norrie at No. 15 and fellow sophomore Guillermo Nuñez at No. 19. Norrie also has a doubles ranking of No. 8 with teammate Trevor Johnson. The Horned Frogs are one of four programs in the country to have two singles players ranked in the top-20 nationally.
After making the NCAA tournament for the 16th time in program history and falling just short of making an appearance in the Sweet 16, the TCU women's program received a doubles ranking in the preseason poll. Junior Seda Arantekin and newcomer Marie Norris check in at No. 40 in the doubles rankings.
The men and women will both open the fall season at the Racquet Club Collegiate Invitational in Midland, Texas on Sept. 18. Norrie and Nuñez were selected to take part in the year's first national championship and will take compete in the inaugural Oracle/ITA Masters in Malibu, Calif., on Sept. 18-20.
