Frogs Close Out Nike Golf Collegiate Invite

PORTLAND, OREGON -- TCU concluded play at the Nike Golf Collegiate Invite on Tuesday, ending the tournament with their lowest team score of the fall at 852, but finishing ninth in a talented field in Oregon.
TCU shot a final round 292 to finish at eight-under par for the tournament.
Junior Giulio Castagnara finished in a tie for 24th place after shooting a final round 69 to pace the Horned Frogs. He shot a pair of 69s in the event to finish at 211 for the week. Junior Chelso Barrett posted par in his final round and finished in a tie for 28th place.
The Frogs posted a 279 opening round score and 281 in the second round, their two best scores of the fall season thus far.
Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club is rich in history and tradition, playing host to six USGA championships including Tiger Woods' dramatic victory in the 1996 US Amateur, his unprecedented third consecutive US Amateur championship. Pumpkin Ridge has also hosted two US Women's Opens, and numerous Web.Com Tour and LPGA Tour events.
TCU returns to the course for the final time during the final season next week at the Connecticut Cup on Oct. 12-13, 2015.
