Frogs Head to Connecticut Cup

ELLINGTON, CONNECTICUT -- After competing in Oregon last week, the Horned Frogs head to the east coast for their final tournament of the fall - traveling to the Connecticut Cup at Ellington Ridge Country Club.
Connecticut won last year's event, their second consecutive title at the tournament that they host annually.
The Horned Frogs will send it's five-man lineup into battle in Ellington along with three players competing as individuals.
Junior Chelso Barrett, senior Paul Barjon, freshman Triston Fisher, freshman Pierre Mazier and senior Ryan Books will compete for the Horned Frogs as a team while Jason Fitzgerald, Sarosh Adi and Turner MacLean will compete as a team.
Barrett finished 28th at the Nike Golf Collegiate Invite last week, posting a second-round score of 69 to tie his best round of the fall. Fisher will compete for the third straight tournament for the Frogs, posting a four-over par tournament in the last outing in Oregon.
The tournament consists of two rounds on Monday and the third and final round on Tuesday. The tournament is the final event of the fall for the TCU Men's Golf program.
TCU is coming off a ninth place finish at the loaded Nike Golf Collegiate Invite last week. TCU shot a final round 292 to finish at eight-under par for the tournament. Junior Giulio Castagnara finished in a tie for 24th place after shooting a final round 69 to pace the Horned Frogs. He shot a pair of 69s in the event to finish at 211 for the week. Barrett posted par in his final round and finished in a tie for 28th place. The Frogs posted a 279 opening round score and 281 in the second round, their two best scores of the fall season thus far.
