
Women's Tennis Heads to Houston for Fall Invite

FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU women's tennis team will conclude fall action by heading to Houston for the Jason's Deli Collegiate Invitational from Friday, Oct. 31 to Sunday, Nov. 2.
Sophomores Seda Arantekin and Sofiko Kadzhaya along with newcomers Alexis Pereira and Palina Dubavets will compete in the final tournament, which will include action against the host Cougars, Rice and Kansas State.
The four-player round-robin draws will begin on Friday at 1 p.m., with doubles action before singles will start at 2 p.m. Action resumes on Saturday afternoon with the same times as the Friday schedule, before concluding play at 9 a.m., on Sunday. All matches played this weekend will take place at the Jake Hess Tennis Stadium.
TCU is coming off a successful showing at the USTA/ITA Texas Regional Championships where Arantekin teamed up with Stefanie Tan to make the finals of the doubles bracket. Pereira had a strong showing at her first regional and defeated the first three ranked opponent of her career on her way to making the semifinals of the singles bracket.
