FORT WORTH, Texas - Junior men's golfer Julien Brun and junior equestrian rider Kaitlin Perry are the Muscle Milk Athletes of the Week for Nov. 4, TCU Athletics announced today.
Brun ended the fall season on a very high note at the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational on Oct. 22. He led TCU each of the last two days to finish seventh in the entire field. Brun's season-high 4-under 68 was followed by a 2-over 74 in the third and final day of the tournament. It was also his second top-10 finish of the season and the 20th of his three-year career.
Brun and TCU will open the spring season Feb. 5 at the Amer Ari Invitational in Kona, Hawaii.
Perry became the first Horned Frog of the year to record two MOP's in a single day. She earned her first one with an 82-71 victory over Texas A&M's Marlena Parker in Equitation over Fences and followed it up with another win over Parker, 83-58, in Equitation on the Flat.
The No. 5 Horned Frogs topped the No. 9 Aggies, 14-6, and will return to play Friday at No. 8 New Mexico State.
