Frogs Struggle after Day One at PING/Golfweek Preview

BREMERTON, Wash. - The TCU men's golf program struggled after 36 holes of action at the PING/Golfweek Preview as the Horned Frogs finished in 14th place on Sunday at the Gold Mountain Golf Complex in Bremerton, Wash.
The Frogs are 14th overall after posting a 36-hole score of 609 (305-304) and remain six shots back of the top-10 heading into the third and final round of action. Oklahoma State holds the team lead with a two-round score of 577 while Washington (589), USC (592), LSU (592) and Arizona State (593) round out the top-five.
Pontus Gad (Linkoping, Sweden | Klippan Gymasieskola) was the Frogs' top performer as the TCU freshman posted a 2-over-par score of 146 (72-74) en route to tying for seventh overall.
Fellow freshman Daniel Jennevret (Sandviken, Sweden | Bessemer Sandviken) tied for 13th overall with a 4-over-par score of 148 (77-71) while Scott Roudebush (Austin, Texas | Austin H.S.) finished with a score of 13-over-par with a tally of 157 (78-79) and tied for 65th overall.
Travis Woolf (Fort Worth, Texas | Paschal H.S.) finished tied for 69th overall with a score of 158 (78-80) while Tom Hoge (Fargo, N.D. | Fargo South H.S.) finished tied for 71st overall with a score of 159 (79-80).
The third and final round will be held on Monday at the Gold Mountain Golf Complex in Bremerton, Wash.
