
Hoge Captures 106th Annual MGA Amateur Championship

MENDOTA, Minn. - Tom Hoge (Fargo, N.D. | Fargo South H.S.) captured his first tournament of the summer circuit on Wednesday as the TCU junior notched gold medal accolades at the 106th Annual MGA Amateur Championship at the Mendakota Country Club in Mendota Heights, Minn.
The 2009 honorable mention All-American notched a 54-hole score of 3-under-par 213 (74-67-72) to outlast Jon Sauer and Travis Ross by two strokes to capture the tournament crown.
Hoge recorded his best June finish at the Sahalee Players Championships, which featured some of the best amateur players in the country, as the TCU junior collected a 25th-place finish. The TCU All-American recorded a score of 298 (70-74-76-78) over the four-round event.
