
Woolf Earns Cleveland Golf/Srixon Academic All-American Honors

NORMAN, Okla. - TCU senior Travis Woolf (Fort Worth, Texas | Paschal H.S.) was selected as a Cleveland Golf/Srixon Academic All-American on Monday for the first time in his career.
In order to be eligible for the Cleveland Golf/Srixon Academic All-American award, student-athletes must be of junior or senior academic status; compete in at least two full years at the collegiate level; participate in 70 percent of his team's competitive rounds; have a stroke average under 76.0; and maintain a 3.2 grade point average.
During the 2008-09 campaign for the Frogs, Woolf recorded a 74.31 strokes average while competing in 13 tournaments. The TCU golfer recorded six top-20 finishes, including a fifth-place showing at The Prestige at PGA West. In the fall season, Woolf notched a 73.36 strokes average followed by a 74.75 strokes average during the spring campaign.
Majoring in finance, Woolf was selected as an Academic All-Mountain West Conference award recipient for the second time in his career this past season.
Woolf becomes the fourth golfer in program history to be selected as an Academic All-American and the first Frog to earn the honor since Bret Guetz during the 2001-02 campaign.
