POSTGAME NOTES
TCU 83, Sam Houston State 65
Fort Worth, Texas (Daniel-Meyer Coliseum)
Dec. 20, 2009
Attendance: 2,225
-TCU improved to 8-3 on the season, including 5-0 against teams from the state of Texas.
-The 5-0 record against Texas teams matches the best mark for a TCU squad with at least five in-state opponents on its schedule (also 5-0 in 2001-02).
-TCU's 57 rebounds were its most in a game since the 2004-05 season, when the Frogs pulled down 57 boards in an 80-51 win over Saint Louis (Feb. 7, 2005).
-Emily Carter tied a career high by scoring 24 points, which also marked the highest output by a Frog this season. Carter's previous career best was 24 points, set Jan. 7, 2009 vs. Colorado State and later matched two weeks ago during an 84-66 victory at SMU Dec. 9.
-Eboni Mangum went 2-for-2 at the free-throw line and is now a perfect 14-of-14 this season. She has made 21 straight free throws overall dating back to a Nov. 20, 2008 win over UT Arlington.
-Helena Sverrisdottir recorded her 500th career rebound on her fourth board of the day with 8:40 remaining in the first half.
-Antoinette Thompson's nine rebounds shattered her previous career high of seven, set last season against Wyoming (Feb. 21, 2009).
-TK LaFleur's eight rebounds all came in the second half.
