TCU Pair Earns At-Large Bid to Indoor Championships

FORT WORTH, Texas - The doubles duo of Macall Harkins and Anna Sydorska received an at-large bid from the ITA to join Nina Munch-Soegaard at the National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships.
"This will be an elite group of players with everybody shooting to be known as the best," TCU head coach Jefferson Hammond said. "I am really excited about our chances. We need to stay loose and play our game."
The 2008 All-Mountain West Conference tandem will be making their second-straight appearance at the Indoor Championships, defeating Fresno Pacific's Karavayeva and Kolkotsky 8-0 and pulling the upset over Georgia Tech's third-ranked team of McCray and Miller by a score of 8-6 last year.
The senior pairing went 4-1 last week at the Wilson/ITA Southwest Regional Championships and are currently ranked ninth in the nation.
The Horned Frog trio will travel to Charlottesville, Va., for the ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships held Nov. 6-9 at the University of Virginia's Boyd Tinsley Tennis Center at Boar's Head Sports Club.
