
Singles Netters Fall at ITA All-American

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. - TCU saw both remaining singles players fall at the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships Tuesday. The Frogs' No. 47 ranked Nina Munch-Soegaard and senior Macall Harkins each dropped two matches in the qualifying draw.
Harkins came up short in her first match against Georgia's Chelsea Gullickson, 6-1, 6-1, followed by a defeat in the singles qualifying consolation draw at the hands of No. 65 Bojana Bobusic, 6-3, 6-3.
Munch-Soegaard dropped her match against No. 28 Venise Chan, 3-6, 6-4, 6-2, while wrapping up her weekend in the consolation draw with a loss to No. 50 Sasha Kulikova from Wake Forest, 6-1, 6-0.
TCU will now lean on the No. 9 ranked doubles duo of Harkins and senior Anna Sydorska as they will represent the Purple and White in main draw doubles Thursday.
The next major event for the Frogs will be at Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center, as TCU will host the Southwest ITA Regionals on Oct. 23-27.
