
Horned Frogs complete action at Baylor Invitational

WACO, Texas - The TCU women's tennis team wrapped up action at the HEB Baylor Invitational at the Baylor Tennis Center on Saturday.
Maria Babanova, a freshman from Moscow, Russia, fell in the second round of the women's open singles "A" consolation draw to North Texas' Madura Ranganathan, 6-4, 6-3. Another TCU newcomer, Idunn Hertzberg, suffered a second round loss in the "A" consolation draw to Karen Scida of UT-San Antonio, 6-4, 6-1.
Hertzberg, from Oslo, Norway, also teamed up with Babanova in the opening round of the women's open doubles "A" consolation draw, falling to Sam Houston State's Irina Sotnikova and Peta Taylor, 8-5.
Four TCU netters will compete in the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships that will get underway on Saturday in Pacific Palisades, Calif.
