
Future Frog claims doubles title at USTA National Open

MAUMEE, Ohio - Kayla Duncan, a TCU women's tennis signee for the fall of 2008, teamed up with Hillary Bartlett of New York, N.Y., to claim the doubles title at the USTA National Open held at the Shadow Valley Club in Maumee, Ohio.
Duncan, a native of Winston-Salem, N.C., teamed up with Bartlett as the top-seeded duo won four matches to earn the championship. The doubles pair cruised through the first two matches with scores of 8-1 and 8-3.
In the semifinals, Bartlett and Duncan defeated the No. 3 team of Elizabeth Epstein and Misia Krasowski by a score of 8-5. The top two teams clashed in the finals, as Bartlett and Duncan downed the No. 2 seeded duo of Kelsey Haviland and Cameron Hobbs, 8-4.
