Women's tennis completes Mean Green Fall Invitational

DENTON, Texas - TCU women's tennis players Melissa Beré and Karine Ionesco dropped their final singles matches of the 2006 Mean Green Fall Invitational Sunday. The two Horned Frogs were the lone TCU players to compete in the tournament.
After winning the first set, Beré lost a 6-3, 2-6(7) heartbreaker to Texas Tech's Kerryn Pottgeiter. It was the second time in three days the two faced-off in a tiebreaker. On Friday, Pottgeither defeated Beré 1-6, 6-2(4). Meanwhile, Ionesco fell 6-1, 6-2 to Tyler Junior College's Manvela Santos.
Next up for TCU is the ITA All-American Championships in Pacific Palisades, Calif., beginning Sept. 30.
