COLUMBUS, Ohio - TCU's doubles tandem of senior Ana Cetnik and sophomore Anna Sydorska continued their run at the ITA National Indoor Collegiate Championships on Friday with an 8-4 win over BYU's duo of Jenny Miccoli and Anastasia Surkova.
Playing on the Ohio State Universtiy campus, Cetnik and Sydorska advanced to the semifinals of the doubles draw where they will face Kentucky's duo of Kim Coventry and Joelle Schwenk at 9 a.m. CT on Saturday.
"Once the match moved to four-all, we maintained a winning attitude and stayed positive, and proceeded to win the next four games," TCU first-year interim head coach Jefferson Hammond said. "I am really happy for the team and look forward to another battle tomorrow."
The pair, ranked No. 24 in the nation and the winners of the Southwest ITA Regional doubles title, upset the top-seeded team of Catrina Thompson and Christian Thompson from Notre Dame, 8-3, in the first round.
