
Women's Tennis Team Takes on C-USA Rival Tulane

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The TCU Women's Tennis Team met Conference USA rival Tulane on Saturday at the Texas A&M Round Robin Tournament. The Frogs will next take on the host Aggies on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. Each meeting is being played in the format of four doubles matches and eight singles matches with no team scores being kept.
Junior Saber Pierce and doubles partner sophomore Karla Mancinas earned a hard-fought 9-7 win over Nancy Kockott and Maria Ivanov. The Frog duo of junior Emily Waters and sophomore Molly Purdy ended up on the short end of a 9-8 count against Lucy Wood and Alexis Coulourides. Ana Saaibi and Jenny Kuhn defeated TCU's Brenna Shackelford and Ivonne Andrade, 8-1.
The Frogs were unable to pick up a win in singles action on Saturday. Only TCU's Waters played to a three-set finish, where she fell to Coulourides, 3-6, 6-4, 10-7. Complete results can be found below.
