TCU Knocks Off Rice, 7-2, in Women's Tennis

TCU was paced by sophomore Leoni Weirich who defeated Erin Waters in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3, at the No. 3 singles slate. Weirich improves to 23-5 on the season and 6-0 at the No. 3 spot. The only loses of the day came at the No. 1 and 2 singles spots.
In doubles, the Frogs were led by the Euro Duo of Daria Zoldakova and Lucie Dvorakova, ranked 6th in the nation, who easily defeated the Rice tandem of Feasby and Waters, 8-4. The Euro Duo improves to 26-2 on the year and a perfect 11-0 at the No. 1 doubles slate.
The Frogs improve to 17-4 on the season and have won 10 of their last 11 matches.The women end the regular season on Sunday against Santa Barbara at 10 a.m. at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center on the TCU campus. Admission is free.
