Cheick Kone appeared in eight games down low for TCU during his final season with the Horned Frogs ... scored a career-high four points while making 2-of-3 field-goal attempts during the Nov. 14 home win over Austin College ... also set a career best with two rebounds in eight minutes of game action ... matched the rebounding total in his final game with two boards during the CBI Quarterfinal loss at Oregon State (March 19) ... made two free throws in two minutes at USC (Dec. 20) ... contributed one assist during the home in over Grambling State (Dec. 22) ... also saw action vs. UT Pan American (Jan. 11), at San Diego State (Feb. 4 ), vs. San Diego State (March 3) and vs. Colorado State in the MW Championship Quarterfinals (March 8).

Kone saw limited action in his first season on the court for TCU ... appeared in seven contests ... made his TCU debut Nov. 12 vs. Jackson State, making one free throw and pulling down one rebound in a career-high three minutes of action ... also received three minutes Dec. 1 vs. Prairie View A&M and Feb. 16 vs. Colorado State.

Kone arrived at TCU after spending one season at Howard College in Big Springs, Texas ... missed the entire 2008-09 season due to injury ... ranked 11th among all NJCAA Division I players in blocked shots (1.03 bpg), No. 38 in offensive rebounds (1.7 rpg) and No. 45 in total rebounds (4.4 rpg) during his freshman season in 2007-08 ... averaged 3.1 points per game while connecting on 58.1 percent (36-of-62) of his field-goal attempts ... helped lead the Hawks to a 25-8 overall record and a 12-4 mark in WJCAC action ... helped Howard College reach the Region V Championship Game.
