TCU begins season in Japan
FORT WORTH – TCU will begin its men's golf season on Sept. 2 in Mishima, Shizuoka, Japan at the Pan Pacific University Golf Super League Tournament.
The top individual will be granted eligibility to participate in a designated Japanese professional tournament, the Drugstore Cosmos Cup held Oct. 1-4 at Grand Fields Country Club.

THE COURSE – Par 71 | 6,719 yards
Grand Fields Country Club offers sweeping views of Mount Fuji. The course incorporates Japanese garden design principles into its layout, creating a harmonious blend of challenging golf and natural beauty.

- TCU appears just outside the Golf Channel Preseason Ranking at No. 31. Last season, the Frogs finished with a season-best ranking of 34 by Scoreboard/Clippd in May and while making its second-straight NCAA Regional appearance.
- Of the nine players on the roster, seven are returners from last season. Included in that is sophomore Sam Udovich who led the Frogs with a scoring average of 70.45. He became TCU's first freshman since 2012 to be named to the all-conference team and to the all-region team. Udovich had a busy summer, finishing in the top five at the MGA Amateur, North & South Amateur and Trans-Miss Amateur. Udovich was also an alternate for the U.S. Open. His World Amateur Golf Ranking is at an all-time high of 131.
- Nathan Miller also returns following a freshman season where he earned Big 12 Men's Golfer of the Week in February after earning co-medalist honors at the Watersound Invitational. He had a stroke average of 71.18 for the season.
- Toby Wilt is the only senior on the squad. The Nashville, Tenn., native had a career-best scoring average of 71.63 last season and was 0.43 vs. par. Wilt's average of 3.02 on Par 3 holes was the best by a TCU player since the stat was first kept in 1997.
- Charlie Wylie returns as a junior after making the TCU lineup in 11 of 12 tournaments. His best finish of the season came at the Big 12 Championship when he tied for 19th place.
- Freshmen Blake Brown and Cameron Kuchar are the two newcomers on the team. Brown tied for 24th place at the 2026 Class 6A Texas State High School Championship for Bridgeland High School in Cypress, Texas.
It's the third season for this season-opening event on the college golf calendar. The competition features a mix of American and Japanese universities and will take place at Grand Fields Country Club with three rounds over three days, Sept. 2 – 4.
