FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Competing on the final day of the West Regional First Rounds, TCU track and field punched three more tickets to the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships Saturday evening at John McDonnell Field.
The women's 4x100m relay, Indya Mayberry and Georgia Scott all advanced to the national meet, finishing top three in their heats. It gives the Horned Frogs five total entries along with Irene Jepkemboi in the javelin throw and Jayden Douglas in the 400m hurdles.
TCU's 4x100m got the job done in the first event of the night. Na'Taja Ballard got the Frog started, running the opening leg. She passed the baton off to freshman Bailey Johnson, who made a clean exchange with London Tucker. In the anchor position, Mayberry was first across the finish line, securing TCU's spot in Eugene.
Mayberry came back just over an hour after the relay to race her first individual event of the night. Racing the 100m, the sophomore posted a season-best 11.08 (+2.5) to finish 10th and qualify for the outdoor championship for the second straight season in the event.
In the 800m, Scott ran one of the best races of her career. The junior turned in a school record 2:01.54 to finish third in her heat and seventh overall in the field. It will mark her first trip to the NCAA meet.
Tucker also competed in the 100m dash. She ran an 11.14 (+2.1) to place 13th overall, just narrowly missing the final qualifying spot by one-hundredth of a second.
The Frogs closed out the night with the 200m. Mayberry (23.08) and Johnson (23.10) finished 17th and 18th, respectively.
Next up, TCU will travel to Hayward Field for the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships June 10-13.
