Fifth-ranked Horned Frogs have won seven of their eight outdoor duals
FORT WORTH – TCU men's tennis is set to compete on the purple courts for the final time in the regular season this weekend, as the fifth-ranked Horned Frogs host BYU and Utah at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.
The Frogs face the Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday before battling the Utes at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
TCU enters the pair of Big 12 bouts having won an NCAA-leading 28 consecutive outdoor home matches dating back to March of 2023. The matches conclude a four-match homestand that began with victories over No. 12 UCF and St. John's on March 27 and March 29.
The Horned Frogs (15-5, 3-1 Big 12) have won seven of their last eight duals, with five of the wins coming at the expense of top-25 opponents. The lone loss came at No. 8 Arizona (17-3, 5-0 Big 12) on a day TCU played shorthanded and away from home for the ninth time in its last 10 outings. TCU will need to win its remaining four conference matches and benefit from a loss by the Wildcats to capture its seventh Big 12 regular season championship.
TCU shut out BYU (13-5, 1-3 Big 12) in both 2024 and 2025 and is 10-1 all-time vs. the Cougars.
The Horned Frogs will hold senior day celebrations and celebrate their lone graduating player, Cosme Rolland De Ravel, following Saturday's clash vs. Utah (5-13, 1-4 Big 12), a program TCU has claimed four consecutive duals against.
