ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – TCU track and field hits the road for the highly competitive New Mexico Collegiate Classic on Feb. 6-7 at the ABQ Convention Center.
Of those attending this weekend, a combined 18 men's and women's teams rank inside the Top 50 in the nation in the most recent USTFCCCA Track & Field Rating Index, including Alabama, Iowa, LSU, Ole Miss, Stanford, Texas Tech, USC and the hosts, New Mexico.
The Frogs will be well represented, with 35 athletes set to compete over the course of the two-day meet. Georgia Scott looks to continue her blistering start to the 2026 indoor season. The junior is fresh off breaking the mile school record last weekend in Seattle. She is set to race the 800m and mile double on Friday night.
Indya Mayberry will compete in both the 60m and 200m for TCU. Last year, she vaulted into the national spotlight at this very same meet, winning the 200m title with a world-leading 22.41. When she lines up in lane 6 on Friday night, it will mark her first indoor 200m race since she was crowned the 2025 Indoor 200m National Champion.
Sprinter London Tucker ranks No. 24 nationally in the 60m coming into the New Mexico Collegiate Classic. Earlier this season, she ran a lifetime best 7.27 (fourth fastest in TCU history) to finish second at the Corky Classic.
Ben Kirbo aims to make a splash in the men's pole vault on Saturday afternoon. He's had a strong start to his senior season, clearing 5.30m (17-4.5) in all three meets so far. Ronnie Kendrick is another name to watch for the men. Last weekend, he won the 200m and 400m double at the UW Invite in Seattle.
