LUBBOCK, Texas – TCU's Indya Mayberry defended her Big 12 titles in the 60m and 200m to stay undefeated in the conference sprints in her collegiate career, and Yannik Knobloch broke his own school record in the Heptathlon to win silver on Saturday at the Big 12 Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Just a sophomore, Mayberry has won six Big 12 titles between the indoor and outdoor championship meets. The Fort Worth native swept the sprint races, taking the 60m title in 7.19 and running away with the 200m crown (22.50) with the No. 2 time in the nation and No. 2 in the world in 2026. With two Conference Titles and 20 points to her name, she was awarded the Big 12 High Point Performer award along with Oklahoma State's Billah Jepkirui.
Knobloch competed in the final three events of the Heptathlon en route to his Runner-Up finish. He opened the day with an 8.24 60m hurdles, the eighth fastest time in school history. In the pole vault, he cleared 4.45m (14-7 ¼), and he hung on in the 1000m with a 2:44.54.
On day one, he had four personal best marks through four events. The sophomore ran a 7.01 60m dash and threw 13.98m (45-10 ½) in the shot put. In the long jump, he flew for the No. 9 leap in school history, going 7.39m (24-3) and cleared 2.04m (6-8 ¼) in the high jump, which ranks fourth all-time for the Frogs.
Knobloch's total score of 5,846 points shattered his previous best of 5,425. It marked a new program record and currently ranks 12th in the nation this season and 25th in the world in 2026.
After a restart was ordered by the officials in the 60m hurdles, Amari Kiluvia finished one spot outside of the top three. She ran a strong 8.24 to place fourth and earn five points for the women.
London Tucker also raced in the 60m final alongside Mayberry. The sophomore sprinter grabbed a spot on the podium with a sixth-place finish (7.35). Dominic Byles put three points on the board for the men in the 600y, turning in a 1:09.94 to place sixth.
TCU's Tia Williams and Ronnie Kendrick represented the Frogs in the 400m. Williams secured two points and a seventh-place result with a 53.21, while Kendrick finished sixth for the men in 46.13 and earned three points.
In the 1000m, Anastacia Gonzales and Mohamed Kowa toed the line. Gonzales held the lead going into the final lap but was unable to hold off a late kick by the pack. She crossed the finish line fifth with a time of 2:46.16 and four points. Kowa placed seventh for the men with a 2:27.77 and a pair of points.
A stellar indoor season came to a close for Georgia Scott in the 800m. The junior was in the mix until the final lap in a competitive race. She finished fifth with a 2:07.89 to score four points for the Frogs.
To wrap up the meet, the men's 4x400m relay of Jayden Douglas, Kendrick, Evander Thomas and Byles ran a season-best 3:07.71 to finish sixth.
Overall, the TCU women scored 41 points to place sixth out of 16 teams, and the men finished 12th with 22 points.
