Has now won the award five times in 2025-26
FORT WORTH – For the third straight week and fifth time in the 2025-26 campaign, the Big 12 Player of the Week accolade belongs to Olivia Miles.
She is the first player since Iowa State's Bridget Carleton in 2019 and one of only five in league history to win the award three weeks in a row. Miles' five Big 12 Player of the Week honors not only are a school record, they are also the second-most ever recorded in a season. Only Baylor's Brittney Griner, who received the recognition six times in 2012-13, claimed the crown more times in a single year.
Miles averaged 22 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and 1.5 steals per game across No. 11 TCU's victories over Houston and Iowa State on Wednesday and Sunday, respectively.
She recorded her fifth triple-double of the season in the Horned Frogs' come-from-behind win over the Cyclones. Miles scored 17 of her game-high 26 points in the fourth quarter of TCU's 80-73 victory and padded her final line with 10 points and 10 assists.
Behind Miles, the Horned Frogs staged their largest fourth quarter comeback in a Big 12 game in program history. TCU trailed 66-53 with 7:35 remaining before Miles ignited a 25-4 run over the ensuing seven minutes. She was responsible for 13 of TCU's points in that span as the Frogs outscored the Cyclones 31-15 in the fourth.
The New Jersey native stuffed the stat sheet with 18 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals in TCU's 72-50 triumph at Houston four days earlier.
Miles' five triple-doubles on the season are tied with Griner and Shalee Lehning of Kansas State for the most by any player across a Big 12 career.
She remains on pace to become only the second player in NCAA history to average 20 points, six rebounds, six assists and 1.5 steals per game while shooting at least 50 percent from the floor in a season. Miles is averaging a career-high 20.3 points per game along with 6.9 rebounds and 6.6 steals per night. She has increased her scoring average to 21.8 points per game in conference play.
Miles and TCU (25-4, 13-3 Big 12) face Cincinnati (11-17, 6-10 Big 12) at 5:30 p.m. CT on Wednesday in Ohio looking to clinch a share of their second straight Big 12 championship and the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament. TCU will become the first team to repeat as Big 12 champions within three seasons of finishing in last place with a victory over the Bearcats.
