SALT LAKE CITY – TCU wrapped up its second day of the Big 12 Match Play Tournament with a tie to Baylor and a loss to Kansas Tuesday before the schedule was altered due to inclement weather in the Salt Lake City area.
The Baylor match was a continuation of Monday's round, which was suspended due to darkness with 1-2 holes remaining. Charlie Wylie dominated his match over Jonas Appel, winning 5&4. Cameron Kuchar, Nathan Miller and Toby Wilt all tied, mirroring the overall result of the match as the Frogs and Bears at 2.5.
TCU then dropped the final round of pool play, 3.5-1.5 to Kansas. Sam Udovich got the win over Hartej Grewal 5&3. For the second time in match play, Miller earned a tie to give TCU a half point.
As the tournament moved to bracket play, rain moved onto The Country Club grounds. Officials canceled the afternoon round to shorten the tournament overall by one round. The final match will take place on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. CT which will have TCU (0-2-1) take on UCF (0-3-0).
