Horned Frogs to get one final tune up before Big 12 Championships
AUSTIN, Texas – In another in-state showdown, the TCU swimming and diving team will take its talents to Austin for the Sterkel Classic on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center.
The Frogs have made numerous appearances at the Sterkel Classic over the recent years, as this season marks the fifth straight season that the Frogs have made their way to Austin for the prestigious event.
This year's field will feature representatives from Texas, Trinity and Incarnate Word.
LAST TIME OUT
At the inaugural Big 12 East Championships, the men's squad tallied a first-place result with 961 total points, placing above the likes of Cincinnati (913) and West Virginia (812). The women collected a total of 1031 points, putting them third behind Houston and Cincinnati. Overall, TCU had the second-best combined team score for the meet out of all competing programs with a 1992.
A total of 11 new top-10 marks were set, as five were set during the diving competition and six from the swimming portion of the meet.

UP NEXT
Following the Sterkel Classic, the TCU swimming and diving team will embark for Greensboro, North Carolina, for the Big 12 Championships, which run from Feb. 24-28 at Greensboro Aquatic Center.
