
TCU Starts Big 12 Play with Win over Baylor

Robinson has double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds
FORT WORTH – TCU led by as many as 14 points and held Baylor to its lowest scoring output of the season in a 69-63 win over the Bears on Saturday to open Big 12 Conference play at Schollmaier Arena.
Micah Robinson recorded his second double-double of the season with a team-best 13 points and 10 rebounds off the bench. He also helped win the game with two free throws with 14 seconds to play, increasing TCU's lead from three to five points.
TCU (11-3, 1-0) won for the ninth time in the last 10 games and did it with rebounding, where it was +9 (43-34) on the glass and with defense, holding Baylor (10-3, 0-1) to 37.3 percent from the field. It was right near the Bears' season-low shooting percentage of 37.2 percent.
The Horned Frogs, led by 14 points, 59-45, following two free throws by Robinson, who was 6-of-8 from the line, with 7:15 to play. Later, the Bears used an 8-0 run to cut it to 64-60 with 2:22 to play. TCU continued to get big stops and made 3-of-4 from the line the rest of the game. Baylor was held without a field goal for the final three minutes and 23 seconds.
All 11 of David Punch's points came in the first half. The TCU leader in rebounds this season finished with eight boards and he had a four of TCU's season-high 10 blocked shots.
Liutauras Lelevicius also finished with 11 points on 3-of-5 shooting from three. Xavier Edmonds was 4-of-6 from the field and scored 13 points.
TCU will continue a challenging stretch to start Big 12 Conference play with an 8 p.m. game at No. 17 Kansas on Tuesday. The game will air on ESPN.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES
- David Punch scored in double-figures for the ninth-straight game with 11, all coming in the second half.
- Punch had four blocked shots. He has at least one block in all 14 games this season.
- Liutauras Lelevicius scored 15 points, his fifth game in double figures.
- Lelevicius was 3-for-5 from 3-point range. It was his second-straight game with three made 3-pointers.
- Xavier Edmonds had 12 points. It was his ninth time scoring in double figures this season.
- Micah Robinson recorded his second double-double of the season and his career with 13 points and 10 rebounds. The 10 rebounds tied a career high.
- Jayden Pierre was 2-of-5 from 3-point range. It was the ninth time this season he's made multiple threes in a game.
- Brock Harding led TCU in assists for the 11th time this season with five.
