Frogs sending players to ITA All-American Championships, Milwaukee Tennis Classic
FORT WORTH – TCU men's tennis is set for its busiest stretch of the fall season.
Eight of the nine players on the Horned Frogs' 2025-26 roster will play a tournament over the next week. TCU is splitting its roster evenly between the ITA All-American Championships and Milwaukee Tennis Classic.
The ITA All-American Championships begin on Saturday and run through Sept. 28 at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Okla. The Milwaukee Tennis Classic takes place from Sept. 25-28 at the Nicolet Tennis Center.
TCU will be represented at the ITA All-American Championships by Julian Alonso, Duncan Chan, Roger Pascual, Albert Pedrico and Cosme Rolland De Ravel.
All four players are guaranteed two singles matches. Alonso is playing in the prequalifying rounds on Saturday and Sunday. Should Alonso win twice, he'll join Chan, Pascual, Pedrico and Rolland De Ravel in the qualifying draw. Qualifying singles run from Monday-Tuesday, with players competing for 16 spots in the 64-man main draw.
Main draw action in both singles and doubles get underway on Wednesday. Pedrico and Rolland De Ravel automatically qualified for doubles on the strength of their preseason ITA No. 4 ranking.
Alonso is also entered in the Milwaukee Tennis Classic as are Filip Apltauer, Maximus Dussault and Kaj Quirijns.
About the ITA All-American Championships
From the ITA All-American Championships, 10 singles players (eight quarterfinalists, two consolation finalists) and all four doubles semifinalists qualify for the NCAA Individual Championships on Nov. 18-23 in Orlando, Fla. All singles quarterfinalists and doubles semifinalists also earn All-American status.
The ITA All-American Championships are the first of four fall championship events used to determine the NCAA Championships field. The NCAA Championships are taking place in the fall for the second straight season as a part of a two-year pilot program with the ITA.
Lui Maxted and Pedro Vives punched their tickets in singles in Tulsa last season in the first year of the new format, with Vives reaching the semifinals. The duo went on to win the NCAA Doubles Championship.
Paul Robinson and current TCU head coach David Roditi won the ITA All-American Men's Doubles Championship in 1994.
About the Milwaukee Tennis Classic
TCU is sending players to the Cream City for the first time. Now in its 49th year of existence, the ITA-certified event routinely draws the nation's top-rated men's and women's players to the Midwest. The tournament format features a 32-player singles draw and 16-team doubles draw.

- TCU pitched a clean sweep of the Battle in the Bay Classic singles and doubles championships on Sunday to conclude its season-opening invitational. Duncan Chan claimed the singles crown. He defeated a pair of top-10 players in No. 6 Kenta Miyoshi (Illinois) and No. 7 Ozan Baris (Michigan State) in the semifinals and final. Chan became the third TCU player to win the singles championship. He and Cosme Rolland De Ravel gave TCU its first Battle in the Bay doubles title earlier in the day. Rolland De Ravel, a transfer from Old Dominion, made his TCU debut in the tournament. The Horned Frogs notched 11 victories, all-but-one of which were in the main draw, during its stay in San Francisco.
- TCU is one of only five teams in the country with five ranked singles players. The others are Ohio State, Texas, Texas A&M and Wake Forest.
- The Horned Frogs are one of just three programs with two ITA top-20 doubles tandems alongside Stanford and Texas A&M.
- The Horned Frogs return seven letter winners from a 2024-25 squad that posted a 27-4 overall record, won the Big 12 regular season championship and finished as the NCAA national runner-up.
- TCU will sport its youngest roster in years in 2025-26. Four of the Frogs' nine players are underclassmen. Only three players are multi-year letter winners.
- TCU ranks second nationally in total wins (117) and winning percentage (.879) since 2021.
- The Frogs are enjoying the longest home winning streak in college tennis at 34 matches ahead of the 2025-26 campaign. TCU finished undefeated home in each of the past two seasons.
- TCU head coach David Roditi is one of only two active D1 head coaches who has won both an ITA Indoor National Championship and NCAA Championship and coached an NCAA individual champion.
- Under Roditi's direction, TCU has notched 11 consecutive year-end ITA top-10 team rankings, a streak unmatched by any D1 program. The Horned Frogs have cracked the top-five of the final rankings in five straight seasons. TCU has additionally boasted a top-10 ITA team ranking in 65 consecutive polls dating back to March 10, 2020.
- TCU has captured a league-leading nine Big 12 regular season or tournament championships over the last decade.
- The Horned Frogs have sent nine players to the NCAA Individual Championships over the last three seasons. Pedro Vives and Maxted won the 2024 NCAA Doubles Championship to give the program its second NCAA individual title.
