Through program elevation and continued success, three head coaches are locked in to keep wearing TCU purple.
FORT WORTH – On the heels of sustained program success across the board, head coaches Angie Ravaioli-Larkin (women's golf), Khadevis Robinson (track and field), and James Winchester (swimming and diving) have all received contract extensions, TCU Director of Athletics Mike Buddie announced today.
"All three of these head coaches have done tremendous work elevating their programs and providing a world-class student-athlete experience for their teams," Buddie said. "Retaining talented coaches is essential to continuing to build TCU into a holistic athletic program that supports championship opportunities across the board, and I am excited to be able to keep Coach Ravaioli-Larkin, Coach Robinson, and Coach Winchester in TCU purple for many years to come."
Ravaioli-Larkin is in her 32nd season at the helm of TCU women's golf. A lifelong Texan, she is the longest tenured head coach across all women's sport programs in the Big 12 Conference. TCU notched its 28th NCAA Regionals berth under Ravaioli-Larkin in May and has qualified for the NCAA National Championships nine times in her tenure. TCU has won 21 tournaments in the Ravaioli-Larkin era, including three in a 2024-25 campaign that was arguably her most successful. The Horned Frogs broke 17 team or individual program records last season and achieved their highest year-end national ranking (No. 15). Ravaioli-Larkin has led TCU to five conference titles in three different leagues while mentoring nine All-Americans, 38 all-conference players and 46 All-American scholars.
Robinson has helped take the cross country and track and field programs to new heights during his tenure. Since his arrival in 2022, the Frogs have seen continued success at the Big 12 and national level, winning 14 individual conference titles and, most recently, an indoor national championship in the 200m by Indya Mayberry. TCU has sent 56 entries to the NCAA Championship meet, earning 28 All-American honors in the past three seasons. Under Robinson, TCU has recorded its highest finishes in program history at the Big 12 Championship meet on the men's and women's side in cross country, indoor and outdoor track. The success goes beyond the track as 25 student-athletes have earned Academic All-American honors as well.
Winchester has elevated TCU's swimming and diving program to new heights since his arrival in Fort Worth in 2018. In the past four seasons alone, over 30 school records have been broken across numerous disciplines. TCU has had twelve individual qualifications for the NCAA Championships over Winchester's tenure, with three athletes securing bids over the past four seasons. Prior to Winchester's arrival, TCU had not been represented at the NCAA Championships since 2014. Two Horned Frogs represented their country at the 2024 Summer Olympics, as Rhanishka Gibbs and Jadon Wuilliez took their talents to Paris. TCU has earned multiple top-five finishes in both genders at the Big 12 Championship, and swept the National Invitational Championship in 2023-24 for the first time in program history.
