Horned Frogs set for conference championship meet
LUBBOCK, Texas – TCU track and field is set for the 2025 Big 12 Indoor Championships hosted by Texas Tech from February 28 to March 1 at the Sports Performance Center.
All 16 teams in the conference will come together to compete in the two-day championship meet. Last season, the women finished seventh, their best team performance ever since joining the Big 12. They'll look to top that mark again this weekend while the men aim for their first top-10 finish since 2023.
TCU's women have been ranked inside the top 25 of the USTFCCCA National Track & Field Rating Index for the entire indoor season, including five different event groups ranked in the top 25. Individually, the Frogs boast 10 top 10 times in the Big 12, including six in the top 25 nationally. On the men's side, TCU has nine top 10 performances in the conference, featuring a pair of top 25 times in the country.
This indoor season, TCU has seen a combined 10 school records fall. Freshman sprinter Indya Mayberry and sophomore distance runner Tabitha Ngao have each added their names to the record books multiple times. Mayberry has burst onto the scene as one of the top sprinters in the nation, while Ngao has four individual event wins in the 800m this season to go along with a pair of meet and facility records.
Hurdler Amari Kiluvia and multi's athlete Elise Dobson also broke program records in their respective events in 2025. They are joined by pole vaulter Benjamin Kirbo, who bested his own top mark in the TCU record book, as well as Graydon Morris and Frilot, who took down 19-year-old records in the 3,000m and 800m, respectively.
As for the Frogs' relay efforts, the men shattered the school DMR record and rank fourth in the Big 12. The TCU women's 4x400m relay also broke the program record earlier this month and is ranked second in the conference heading into the championship meet.
Friday's action features finals in the weight throw, pole vault, long jump, 5k and DMR, as well as the prelim rounds for the sprint and middle-distance races. The top eight athletes in each event will advance to the finals on Saturday.
