Horned Frogs Face Cardinals for first time on Monday
FORT WORTH – TCU (6-3) will play three games in seven days starting with Monday's contest with Incarnate Word (5-5), which starts at 7 p.m. in Schollmaier Arena and air on ESPN+.
Tickets for TCU's remaining December games are on sale for as low as $10. Another option for purchase is the Dixon Deal, which includes a ticket and 24 oz. drink and your choice of any two of the following items: hot dog, peanuts, popcorn, pretzel or candy, all for $20. Voucher must be picked up at will call.
NOTES
- TCU is 3-3 at home this season and will play its next five games at Schollmaier Arena.
- TCU has received votes in the AP Top 25 in each of the last two weeks (Dec. 1 and Dec. 8).
- TCU's top returner in scoring and rebounding, David Punch, leads in those categories this season with 13.4 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. He has scored at least 12 points in the last four games.
- Punch's 2.1 blocks per game ranks fourth in the Big 12.
- Punch is shooting 55.4 percent from the field which ranks seventh in the Big 12.
- Punch is the only player nationally averaging at least 13.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.0 blocks.
- Six different players have led the team in scoring through the nine games so far this season.
- Jayden Pierre is TCU's top 3-point threat, making 44.2 percent from deep and 2.1 threes per game.
- Harding is one of five players nationally averaging at least 10.0 points, 6.0 assists and 2.0 steals.

ABOUT THE OPPONENT
- Incarnate Word is 5-5 on the season following an 84-83 win over TCU's opening-game opponent, New Orleans, on Dec. 8.
- The Cardinals are led in scoring by Davion Bailey's 20.4 points per game. Last season, Bailey made 126 3-pointers, the third-most in the NCAA, and was the Southland Conference's leading scorer with 600 points, an average of 16.7 per game. Bailey is shooting 36.1 percent from three this season and his 3.3 made 3-pointers per game rank 24th nationally.
- UIW is shooting 39.4 percent from 3-point range which leads the Southland Conference and ranks 22nd nationally.
- UIW finished 19-17 last season, including a 9-11 record in the SLC.
SERIES HISTORY
- It's the first-ever meeting between TCU and Incarnate Word.
- TCU has faced two other Southland Conference teams already this season. The Frogs lost to New Orleans, 78-74, in the season opener and beat Lamar one week later, 78-65.
LAST TIME OUT
- TCU's starting frontcourt led the way for the Horned Frogs come-from-behind win over North Texas on Dec. 7 at Dickies Arena in the US LBM Coast-to-Coast Challenge.
- Forward David Punch recorded his first-career double-double with 12 points and a career-high 12 rebounds to earn MVP honors. Center Xavier Edmonds had his best game as Horned Frog with a season-high 16 points, on 7-of-9 shooting, and eight rebounds.
- North Texas held a 37-31 lead at halftime.
