LAWRENCE, Kan. – After wrapping up the regular season a week ago at the Arturo Barrios Invitational, the Distance Frogs begin postseason racing at the Big 12 Championships on Friday, Oct. 31, at 10 a.m. CT, hosted by Kansas at Rim Rock Farm.
The Big 12 Champions will be hosted by Kansas this year. This will be the Frogs' first time racing at Rim Rock Farm since 2020. TCU will race against the 15 other teams in the Big 12 for the 2025 title.
Last time out, Johnson Lagat and Mohammad Kowa led the team in the men's 8k and both finished in the top 10 at eighth and ninth, respectively. Anastacia Gonzales led pack in the women's 6k with a time of 21:02.6, setting a career best time in the 6k.
In 2024, Lagat and Graydon Morris both finished inside the top 50 overall, leading the men's side to a sixth-place team finish, its best in school history. For the women, Mckenzie Bailey and Olivia Andrews led the way for the Frogs, with both finishing in the top 100.
