
TCU Wins Four Events on Saturday

TCU collected nine total wins at the Michael Johnson Invitational
WACO, Texas — TCU capped off a successful two days at the Michael Johnson Invitational with four event wins on Saturday.
Irene Jepkemboi kicked off the day for the Horned Frogs with a win in the women's javelin. The freshman earned her second win of the season with her throw of 51.49m (168-11). She has cleared 50 meters in all but just one meet this season.
The men's 4x100 team of Bryson Stubblefield, Kashie Crockett, Jais Smith and Gregory Sholars clocked a season-best 40.29 to finish first. The women's 4x100 team (Iyana Gray, Mikayla Hayes, Breanna Harlin, Teanna Harlin) finished second at 44.44.
The Frogs earned a pair of 800m wins as well. Jasmin Muhammad-Graham won the women's 800m with her time of 2:08.09, and Lloyd Frilot finished first on the men's side with his time of 1:52.10. Following closely behind him was Giovouni Henry (1:52.30) who finished second.
Samarra Monrroy was the first Frog across the finish line in the 400m. The sophomore finished third overall and first among collegiate athletes with her time of 54.21. Stone Burke garnered bronze as well with his time of 9:35.08 in the steeplechase.
In the men's triple jump, Damilare Olukosi finished fourth with his leap of 15.30m (50-2.50). Joining Olukosi with a fourth-place finish was Amari Kiluvia in the 100mH with her time of 13.53 (2.7w).
Mikayla Hayes earned herself fifth in the 100m with her time of 11.51 (2.0w). Jais Smith's 10.42 (3.5w) placed him eighth in the men's 100m.
