Triathlon Finishes Fourth at Nationals

Gupta-Baltazar led the way for the Frogs with an 11th place finish
CLERMONT, Fla. – The TCU triathlon team closed out the 2024 season with a fourth place finish at NCAA Triathlon National Championships. Kira Gupta-Baltazar and Amanda Moro posted impressive top-15 finishes as the Horned Frogs improved from last year's sixth-place finish.
Arizona took home the title, finishing with 942 total points. Reigning National Champions, Arizona State, placed second with 920 points but had the individual champion in Naomi Ruff. Queens rounded out the podium finishers with 895 points and TCU tallied 869 points.
This year's National Championship format looked different than usual with a two-day event featuring the swim portion (750m swim) on Friday and the bike/run (20k bike, 5k run) portion on Saturday.
Gupta-Baltazar finished first in swimming by thirteen seconds and was 11th overall with a time of 1:00:16. Moro followed behind in 14th with a time of 1:00:41.
