FORT WORTH – With the start of the 2026 season approaching quickly, it's time for a summer recap — and safe to say TCU triathlon stayed busy. In the offseason, TCU athletes traveled around the globe to race at the highest levels of the sport.
Sara Gimena competed at Spanish Team Nationals and the Spanish National Individual Sprint. Stefania Salazar raced at the FISU World University Championship in Switzerland, then joined Marley Andelman and Julia Visgueiro for back-to-back European Cups in Poland. Visgueiro also added a World Cup start in Canada and the Pan American Championships in Chile.
Gwen Watson competed in two European Junior Cups, along with league races in Spain and France. Anna Besenyei competed at the European Sprint and Relay Championships in Poland as well as the Balkan Sprint Championship.
U.S. standouts Eve Frost and Emily Knopfle raced two Junior Elite Cups and Junior Nationals here at home.
Coming off a busy summer of international racing, the Frogs have spent the past few weeks locked into preparation for the season opener.
"The hard work and time spent training are starting to come together, and we are excited to see what this team can do," Andelman said.
It will all come to fruition for TCU on Saturday, September 5, when the Frogs race their 2026 season opener at the Southern Hills Collegiate Cup in Hot Springs, South Dakota.
