
Freri Breaks School Record in Day One of USC Invitational

Multiple athletes crack TCU's All-Time list.
Day One Results
LOS ANGELES – Geremia Freri broke the school record in the 500 freestyle and multiple swimmers cracked TCU's Top 10 All-Time list at the first day of the USC Invitational on Friday.
Freri's time of 4:17.71 in the 500 freestyle highlighted the day for the Horned Frogs as he shattered the school record by 4.66 seconds. The previous record was held by Joao Andrade, which was set in 2018. His time of 4:17.71 also gives him an NCAA B cut, making it the first B cut of the season for the Frogs.
Also picking up a win for the Frogs was the 400 medley relay team of Stefan Varga, Janis Silins, Piotr Sadlowski and Raphael Paiva Da Lima. The squad swam a time of 3:12.70, making them eighth all time in program history.
In the 200 IM, Luke DiMiceli swam a time of 1:48.66, which is good for sixth all-time. He placed fourth in the event overall.
Paiva clocked a time of 20.20 in the 50 freestyle, finishing fifth overall. He is now ninth all-time in program history in the 50 freestyle.
On the women's side, Rylee Moore is now third on TCU's Top 10 list with her time of 53.85 in the 100 backstroke. With her time, she also notched an NCAA B cut.
Two TCU 400 medley relay teams cracked the Top 10 list at the meet. The team of Marlene Hirschberg, Claire Chahbandour, Jeanne Dahmen and Olivia Rhodes swam a time of 3:44.49, making it the seventh fastest time in TCU history.
Right behind them was the team of Rylee Moore, Sheridan Schreiber, Megan Morris and Emma Hultquist. Their time of 3:44.57 is now the eighth-fastest time in program history.
