Team Notes
* With the victory, TCU (10-2, 7-2) earned a trip to the Big 12 Championship Game next Saturday, Dec. 2, versus Oklahoma at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
* TCU has reached 10 wins for the 11th time in Gary Patterson's 17 seasons as head coach. It's also the third time in four years and ninth time in the last 13 campaigns for the Horned Frogs to reach double digits in victories.
* Following the game, Patterson announced his contract extension through 2024.
* Over the last four seasons, TCU's 39-12 overall record and 26-10 conference mark rank second in the Big 12.
* TCU improved to 21-0 when playing at home as an AP top-10 team under Patterson.
* The Horned Frogs had eight sacks, their most in a game since totaling nine against SMU in 2014. TCU has at least one sack in 53 of its last 55 games.
* A Baylor third-quarter field goal marked the first and only second-half points allowed by TCU in its last six games.
* TCU had a 21-19 halftime lead. The Horned Frogs are 10-0 this season when leading at the break. TCU is 129-14 under Patterson when holding a halftime lead.
* The Horned Frogs went 6-0 in Amon G. Carter Stadium this season for their third perfect campaign at home in the last four seasons.
* Patterson improved to 7-3 as a head coach versus Baylor.
* TCU is now 12-6 in short-week games under Patterson.
* A TCU fumble recovery in the end zone gave its opponent a safety for the first time since 2007, a 38-36 win at Stanford.
* TCU scored for the 318th consecutive game. It's the nation's second-longest current streak and fourth all-time in NCAA history. The Horned Frogs haven't been blanked since Nov. 16, 1991, at Texas (32-0).
* TCU honored its 35 seniors in a pregame ceremony.
* TCU's team captains were Ben Banogu, Kenny Hill, Nick Orr, Matt Pryor.
* TCU wore a black jersey with purple pants and a purple helmet.
Individual Notes
* Mat Boesen set a TCU record with 5 1/2 sacks to give him a team-best 11 1/2 on the season. He has at least one sack in six of the last seven games.
* Boesen broke the previous TCU mark of 4 1/2 sacks by David Spradlin (vs. Baylor, 1987) and Vincent Pryor (vs. Texas Tech, 1994).
* Boesen forced his team-best third fumble of the season and the fifth in his two-year TCU career.
* Boesen's 11 1/2 sacks on the season are tied with Jerry Hughes (2009) for third-most in TCU history.
* Kenny Hill had three touchdown passes. It was his fourth game this season and fifth of his TCU career with at least three scoring tosses.
* Hill completed 26-of-36 passes for 325 yards after missing last week's game at Texas Tech due to injury. He added a 3-yard scoring run.
* A 4-yard run by Kyle Hicks was his fourth rushing touchdown of the season and 19th of his career, the most among active Big 12 players.
* Jarrison Stewart had six receptions for 72 yards, including a 7-yard touchdown, after entering the game with one catch on the year.
* Stewart's six receptions broke his previous career-best of five at Texas Tech in 2015.
* Sewo Olonilua had a team-best and career-high 71 yards rushing on 10 carries, including a 32-yard second-quarter scoring run that was a career-long carry. He added a career-high three receptions for 40 yards.
* Desmon White's 14-yard touchdown reception was his fourth of the season. The senior had just two scoring grabs his first three years.
* Jalen Reagor's 30-yard touchdown reception was his team-best sixth scoring catch on the year.
* Ty Summers recorded his fourth sack of the season, all in the last four games.
* Summers had his first interception of the season and second of his career.
* Ben Banogu had a sack to give him 7 1/2 on the season.
* Ross Blacklock posted his third sack of the season.
* Nick Orr had his first fumble recovery of the season and fourth of his career.
* Cole Bunce had a 23-yard field goal to make him 3-of-4 on the season.
