Baker, McGhee Primed For Olympic Trials

Baker is set to compete in the 100-meter dash at 3:01 p.m. CDT on Saturday, July 2 for the first rounds. The semifinals are slated for 6:19 p.m. on Sunday, with the finals scheduled for 7:53 p.m.
McGhee is set to compete in the 100-meter hurdles at 7:02 p.m. on Thursday, July 7 for the first rounds. The semifinals will take place at 5:58 p.m. the following day, with the finals concluding at 7:54 p.m.
To earn a spot on the U.S. Olympic Team, they must advance to the finals and place in the top three.
Baker is not new to competing on the big stage at the Historic Hayward Field, though. Saturday will mark the sixth time he will showcase his speed in Eugene.
The two-time NCAA 60-meter and Big 12 100-meter champion held the fastest time in the nation throughout the outdoor regular season and enters the meet with a seeded time of 10.05 seconds. Also competing in the men's 100-meter dash will be former TCU great Charles Silmon.
McGhee, the Big 12 champion of the 100 hurdles, enters the meet with a seeded time of 12.88.
NBC will broadcast the 100-meter dash finals on Sunday, July 3 and the 100-meter hurdle finals on Friday, July 8.
