Watts Runs No. 2 Time in TCU History

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- The TCU men's and women's track and field team concluded competition at the Tyson Invitational on Saturday after a productive weekend in Fayetteville, Ark.
Senior Sam Watts recorded the nation's No. 4 time in the 200 meters after finishing in 20.60 seconds. His time of 20.60 ties Ronnie Baker for the second fastest in school history, trailing only former World Champion Kim Collins (20.52, 2000).
Sophomore Scotty Newton won the men's triple jump with a personal-best mark of 15.81m (51-10.5). His performance ranks fourth in TCU history.
In the women's 200-meter dash, freshman Kayla Heard logged a season-best time of 24.52.
The next time TCU will return to the track will be in Ames, Iowa on Feb. 26 for the Big 12 Indoor Championships.
