GWANGJU, South Korea – TCU track and field's Ronnie Baker put on another strong performance on Saturday at the World University Games in Gwangju, South Korea.
In the 4x400 relay, Baker ran the anchor leg and made a strong push toward second after the first 200 meters, but Team USA would end up in third in their heat at 3:08.67. The time pushed them through to the final, which is slated for Sunday morning at 5:35 CDT.
Baker, who finished fourth on Thursday in the 100-meter final, was featured on the second leg of the 4x100 relay. Running the back straightaway, Baker put the Americans in a good spot with a slight lead before handing the baton off. However, on the final exchange, the Americans dropped the baton and were unable to finish the race.
