On Saturday's meet
"We'll go to Texas A&M this weekend and this meet has basically turned into our high-intensity training day for the week because we haven't had it and haven't been able to really train this week due to the weather. We've had multiple alternative training days. That's just how it is, so we'll see what comes out of it."
On if its encouraging to see positive performances despite losing days to weather
"It basically tells you that the fall conditioning program was a success. It means our team improved in the fall and they're withstanding the inclement weather. When they can run the way they're running with those circumstances, it tells you that we had an outstanding fall. That's the one thing we always do is make sure that our fall program puts us in a good position."
On the goals for the team this weekend and moving forward
"With the New Mexico meet, our goal was to take care of some individual events and they did that. This weekend, we're looking to see if we can run a better mile relay and then have the other guys in other events improve upon their individual marks. That's what our objective is. Then, next week when we go to Arkansas, it will be a combination of things. That's the week where we double up and we run two or three races. It's kind of a dress rehearsal for what they're going to do at the Big 12 meet. That's the way we kind of peck our way through the indoor season. Harvey McSwain will open up this weekend and run his first race and Brianna McGhee will have her first competition this weekend as well. We're still beating to the drum of let's get into the meet healthy and let's come out of it healthy."
Last Time Out
