SCOUTING NORTHERN ARIZONA
The Lumberjacks lost five starters from a 2010 starting lineup that enjoyed a 12-4-2 record and a Big Sky Conference regular season title. Head coach Andre Luciano, entering his 11th season at Northern Arizona, welcomed back 12 letterwinners to go along with a dozen newcomers this fall. The Lumberjacks were picked to win the Big Sky Conference by the league's head coaches in the preseason poll.
NAU enters the match with a 1-6-2 overall record after taking down Embry-Riddle by the score of 3-1 Sunday. Seniors Chelsea Bednarz and Sam Monahan and sophomore Elinor Priest each scored first half goals for the Lumberjacks in the win.
SERIES HISTORY
TCU posted a 1-0 shutout at Northern Arizona in 2008 in the only meeting between the two programs. After a scoreless first half of action, the Frogs got game-winning goal when senior Caroline Starns connected on a shot to the back of the net in the 64th minute. The shutout was one of seven on the year for the TCU defense in 2008.
FROG VISION
Today's home match against Northern Arizona is the second of four nationally-televised games shown by The Mtn. TCU earned a 1-0 win over Northwestern State Sunday in the first match shown on the Mountain West's network. Two league matches are also slated to air on national television as TCU welcomes Air Force and Wyoming to Fort Worth on Oct. 14 and Oct. 16, respectively.
FROGS ON THE TUBE
The Horned Frogs' match against the Lumberjacks will mark the sixth time in five seasons that the program will be shown on national television. The regular season contest, which is the fifth regular season match televised in TCU women's soccer history, is also the fourth home contest ever shown on national television and the fifth TCU appearance on The Mtn. The Frogs are 2-2-1 when appearing on television.

COUNTING ON CALHOUN
Senior forward Jordan Calhoun has scored the game-winning goal for TCU in each of the last three victories. The Norman, Okla., native paces the Mountain West with her three game winners and is tied for 16th in the NCAA.
REACHED THE HALFWAY POINT
Nine matches down, nine to go -- The Frogs are 5-4 midway through the 2011 season. TCU has three non-conference games remaining against Northern Arizona (Sept 23), Houston Baptist (Sept 25) and Texas Tech (Oct. 9). The Mountain West schedule begins at UNLV on Sept. 30.
SHOUT OUT TO SHUTOUTS
The TCU defense, led by senior defender Katie Taylor and freshman goalkeeper Alicen Wright, has been rock solid this fall, posting four shutouts through the first nine matches. The Frogs were stellar at the Red Raider Classic, posting a pair of 1-0 shutouts to topple Toledo and Hofstra. The last time the Frogs enjoyed back-to-back blankings came on the road against Arizona State and Northern Arizona in Sept. 2008.
RACKING UP RECORDS
With her game-winning goal against Northwestern State on Sept. 18, senior forward Jordan Calhoun also notched her 76th career point, surpassing former Frog Sarah Campbell for the program record for career points. Campbell tallied 75 points for the Purple and White from 1986-89. The Norman, Okla., native has 11 career assists, seven behind the TCU career benchmark set by Allison Calleri from 1996-99. Calhoun is TCU's all-time leading scorer with 32 career goals.
