- TCU fell to 9-7 overall and 0-1 in Mountain West Conference play. The Frogs dropped their conference opener for the first time since the 2007-08 season.
- Ronnie Moss became the 30th Frog with 1,000 points in a career with a jumper at the 15:44 mark of the first half. Moss also became only the fifth player in program history with 1,000 career points and 300 career assists, joining Darrell Browder (1979-82), Jeff Jacobs (1993-96), Mike Jones (1996-98) and Corey Santee (2001-04).
- Moss, who scored 11 points, moved into 29th place on TCU's career scoring chart with 1,007 points. He passed by former Frog Wayne Kreis (1,002).
- Nikola Cerina scored a season-high 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting. It marked Cerina's second game in double figures this season.
- Garlon Green led TCU with 13 points, his 12th time in double figures and third time pacing the squad in scoring.
- J.R. Cadot's 12 rebounds marked a career high. He had as many offensive boards Wednesday (10) as his previous career best in total rebounds, which he had recorded twice.
