
TCU Battles Ladyjacks At Home Friday Night

FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU will close the non-conference portion of its schedule this weekend with home matches against Stephen F. Austin and Texas Woman's University on Friday and Sunday, respectively.
Start time for the match against the Ladyjacks is set for 7 p.m. on Friday, while the Pioneers and Horned Frogs will battle on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Scouting Stephen F. Austin
Stephen F. Austin comes into Friday's contest with a 3-5-0 overall record. The Ladyjacks, who are 3-2-0 on the road in 2009, have posted victories over Houston, Louisiana-Lafayette and Missouri State.
In its last outing, SFA dropped a 5-0 decision to Washington State in Nacogdoches. In the match, junior Camille Royer recorded two shots-on-goal, while redshirt freshman Breanne Vernon attempted three shots in the match. Junior goalkeeper Courtney Bauder posted one save with three goals against WSU before giving way to freshman Rachael Stelly in the second half. Stelly collected four saves and allowed two goals.
Against Houston, freshman Kylie Louw netted a late goal to break a scoreless tie and lead Stephen F. Austin to a 1-0 win at Houston last Friday night. Louw leads SFA with two goals on the year, while dishing out four assists.
Scouting Texas Woman's
Texas Woman's will bring a 2-4-0 overall record to Fort Worth on Sunday. The Pioneers, who are NCAA Division II, are 1-1-0 this season against NCAA Division I opponents. TWU downed Grambling State on August 30, 1-0. In the match, Natalie Holovach scored the game-winner on a penalty kick in the 58th minute.
In its last outing, Texas Woman's dropped a 2-0 decision to Houston Baptist in Houston. Junior goalkeeper Nori Morgan made a career-high seven saves in the net for the Pioneers. TWU was outshot 20-4 in the game, including 10-2 in the second half.
Holovach leads the Pioneers in goals scored on the season with two, while Grace Williams and Dani DeCoursin have each scored a goal and assisted on another. Overall, TWU has netted six goals on the year, while dishing out four assists.
Scouting TCU
TCU, who is 5-4-0 on the season, comes into Friday's contest with a home record of 2-1-0. The Horned Frogs went 1-1-0 last weekend, recording a win over Weber State before falling to Alabama last Sunday at the Red Raider Classic in Lubbock.
In its last outing, TCU tallied 19 shots last Sunday at the Red Raider Classic, but dropped a 1-0 decision to Alabama. Overall, TCU outshot the Crimson Tide, 19-8, including 10-1 in the first half. The Purple and White also recorded a 5-3 advantage in corner kicks for the match. Lizzy Karoly led the offensive attack for the Frogs with four shots attempts, while Jackie Torda chipped in with three.
All-Time Series Breakdown
Friday's match against Stephen F. Austin will mark the sixth time in program history that the two Texas schools have faced each other. TCU leads the overall series, 5-0-0, including 3-0-0 at home.
The Horned Frogs dropped the Ladyjacks, 5-0, in 2008. Freshman Jordan Calhoun and junior Lizzy Karoly each netted two goals as TCU blanked 2007 NCAA Qualifier Stephen F. Austin at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium.
TCU and Texas Woman's University have never faced each other on the pitch.

Heading into Friday's contest, TCU currently ranks No. 2 in the conference in assists-per-game (1.56), corners kicks (66) and average home attendance (1,331). The Frogs are third in shots (163), points (44), goals (15), goals-per-game (1.67), assists (14) and fouls (98).
Individually, sophomore Jordan Calhoun leads the MWC in assists and assists-per-game with five and 0.56, respectively, on the season. Calhoun also ranks No. 2 in the MWC in shots-per-game (3.44), while also ranking No. 3 in points (15), points-per-game (1.67), goals (5) and goals-per-game (0.56). Senior Lizzy Karoly ranks No. 6 in goals (3), while Kaylie Garcia is currently No. 4 in game-winning goals (2).
