HOUSTON (AP) - Lanny Smith had 16 points and nine assists, and Brian Latham scored 15 points to lead Houston past TCU 69-57 Saturday night.
Houston (17-10, 8-5 Conference USA) has won five of its past six. TCU (16-10, 6-6) saw its three-game winning streak end.
Corey Santee scored 14 points for TCU, and Judson Stubbs had 13 off the bench.
The Cougars, who never trailed, shot 62 percent in the first half and led 39-25 at halftime.
Houston's Andre Owens scored 14 points, and Ramon Dyer added 10.
The Horned Frogs shot 40 percent from the floor (20-of-50) and hit only 10 of 18 free throws.
